“Works In Progress” Exhibition

Children’s Museum of the Arts presents Works In Progress, an ever-evolving exhibition that turns the CMA gallery into a blank canvas for artistic exploration, as well as a working studio, where guest artists invite visitors to assist them in their art making process.
Beginning on July 22, Works in Progress will offer visitors the opportunity to work collaboratively with special guest artists on a range of collaborative workshops, adding work to the walls and corners of the gallery as it is created. Throughout each project, visitors will be encouraged to ask questions about the artistic process, and gain a better understanding of the aesthetic decisions artists make in creating their work. Guest artists are selected by CMA’s curatorial team, and will lead two-week residencies that engage museum-goers in his or her studio practice.
