Onishi Project presents a group exhibition entitled “The Artist is the Greatest Healer” curated by Stefania Carrozzini, a Milan based independent curator. The exhibition is composed of 23 artworks, by 10 international artists.
The curator Stefania Carrozzini was inspired by a phrase of German artist, Joseph Beuys. “The artist is the greatest healer”. More artists link creative processes to the very essence of life to achieve universal harmony. In the same way artistic knowledge shares with scientific knowledge the desire for knowledge and truth. Art is a transcendent and cathartic means to purify the soul. It is a thaumaturgic force in the broadest meaning of the term, like a state of mind which sustains and directs the act of taking care of oneself and others. It is something different compared to the working of the mind, to the “thinking” of everyday, and in this lies the therapeutic function…”
