Milstein, a native Texan, relocated to New York City in 2003. Centuries-old buildings juxtaposed with modern glass towers intrigued Milstein and reflections on the gird of glass and steel skyscrapers captured her imagination. Using paint, fabric, plastic, string, wire, wood, and found objects she creates intricate, layered, sometimes three-dimensional renderings of the myriad effects of reflections.
