Stephanie Chambers. ‘Overgrown’ explores the relationship between humans, nature and mortality. “Nature left untouched becomes overgrown. So will the urban landscape.” Through the use of pattern and repetition, Chambers reimagines the natural world through the lens of an urban grid. Overgrown will showcase ten paintings constructed on birch and pine panels using acrylic paint.
Chambers is a 2003 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She is originally from New York where she currently lives and works. Her workhas been shown at galleries in New York, San Francisco, Providence, Germany and Canada.
