Images of fences, garage doors, aluminum siding or windows take on new meaning when layered with painted expressions of political action, spirituality, rebellion and playfulness, while featuring the hopes and dreams of a community.
Miriam Romais photographic series documents these murals, while helping the muralist further disseminate their histories to new and broader geographic audiences. The artist will donate a percentage of print sales to Precita Eyes in San Francisco, an organization that has been instrumental in their creation and preservation."
