The Tierney Fellowship in Photography is given annually to a promising BFA Photography candidate at SVA to encourage a new body of photographic work.
“Youngstown: An Equivalent” is an exhibition of photographs and video investigating the myth of the great American road trip. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Carlson now works and lives in New York City. His work deals with compulsion, convention, myth and pragmatism.
