In the Project Space we are showing a new video by Katie Armstrong, “When it All Goes White.” Blending performance, video and animation, “When It All Goes White” is an exercise in accepting the ephemeral. Armstrong uses old style hand drawn stop-motion animation and live action digital video paired with an intimate, murmured, spoken word soundtrack. The nature of animation, video or any other kind of time-based media, lends itself to storytelling and Katie Armstrong aims to exploit the medium to challenge the way stories can be told. This June Katie Armstrong will have a solo exhibition at Eigen+Art in Berlin.
