This show explores the limitless potential that exists for an artwork as it develops in the studio based on the unexpected ways that the work will change when placed in another space and arranged in a new way. For these artists, it is this kind of momentum and fluidity that is key to a piece's realization. Their approach emphasizes their ambivalence with the appearance of singular works, focusing instead on each piece as it plays a part in an ensemble. For the artists in this show, production is almost always about working towards something and it’s the unique combination of their “pieces” that helps this notion succeed.
