Ana Cristea Gallery presents "EAR FOUND - please contact reception," the first solo exhibition in the United States by artist Gino Saccone.

Gino Saccone makes sculptures, images and films that explore the basic mechanics of language; how information may be formulated and expressions made. The works themselves are the result of both symbolic and intuitive working processes that are concerned with the potential for movement to engender meaning create atmosphere and inspire feeling. By making and arrangement of different elements within the practice he seeks to open up potential fictions, cultural references and psychological spaces.

Interlaced T1 (Lacuna) is a double-sided single image stereogram. The Lacuna textile project is a unique double-sided variation of the autostereogram a technology that was designed to create the visual illusion of a three-dimensional sunken relief from a two-dimensional image, first developed by Bela Julesz in 1959 at a time when many vision scientists still thought depth perception occurred in the eye itself.

The show presents a number of other works by arrangement of color and texture into various form including Instance object (7L), a large collaborative work with Elliot Dodd, combining patterns made with textile renderings of scanned watercolors and computer generated printed imagery.

Gino Saccone was born in Jersey Channel Islands in 1979 and lives and works in London.
