After touring museums throughout Europe, culminating with Saatchi Gallery this past summer, the exhibition "Exposed" now comes to New York. "Exposed" examines Ana Tzarev’s newest series of vibrant paintings inspired by her lifelong passion for flowers. "Exposed" also features the artist’s magnificent new fiberglass sculpture entitled "Love," which stands at roughly 12 feet high and weighs approximately 700 pounds. "Love" is dedicated to the form, color and symbolic meaning of flowers. Due to the sculpture’s complexity, Tzarev appointed the help of Thailand’s leading yacht building company, deeming them the only artisans with the capability to bring her ambitious concept into fruition. It took a team of 20 specialists almost three months to finish the work carving the foam and fiberglass structure intricately by hand.
