This event has ended.

Collapse: The Cry of Silent Forms, Brandon Ballengée’s first solo exhibition at the Feldman Gallery, consists of three bodies of work with different themes. Ballengée, an interdisciplinary artist who studies the effects of ecological change on living creatures, will show an installation of preserved specimens collected from fish markets and large-scale photographs of amphibian and avian deformities. Synthesizing scientific inquiry with art making, Ballengée transforms his field research into metaphors that reduce life to its essentials.

Ballengée is the recipient of numerous grants and has exhibited in Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. A writer, lecturer, and educator, Ballengée is currently finalizing his Ph.D. through a collaborative program between the University of Plymouth, England and Hochschule für Gestaltung in Zurich, Switzerland.
