Orchard Windows Gallery announces Turbulence, the upcoming solo exhibition of sculpture by artist Bernard Klevickas. Mr.Klevickas is fascinated with exploring industrial processes and integrating the methods and machinery into the creation of his art. He works primarily in sheet metal, drawing inspiration from his interest in surface, pattern and abstract form. Obsessed with waves, he forges flat planes into three dimensional forms that undulate with complex curvature. Klevickas has controlled methods of manipulating raw materials and relishes the challenge of working through each phase of a sculpture's creation. While early influences include Donald Judd and John Chamberlain, he is also taking cues from polished and stylish automobiles, motorcycles and other objects of industrial manufacture.
