This event has ended.

Seiko Ogisho graduated from Kyushu Zokei College in 1976 where she majored in Graphic Arts. After her graduation, she studied traditional Japanese painting for one year. She then studied at Nippon Designers School and received a certificate for completion of courses with an emphasis in Illustration in 1979. With a precise drawing technique capturing the beauty of her subjects, Ogisho's art has attracted attention. She has won many awards and prizes in art competitions, participated in many group exhibitions, and held several solo-exhibitions in Japan. This is her first exhibition in the United States.
When Seiko Ogisho draws, her feelings of tenderness, quietness, and loneliness within, drives her. The happiest moment for her as an artist is listening to the smooth sounds of the color pencils slipping on the paper. Her goal is to cherish such joy of drawing and to work on new creations meticulously and carefully while she retains her personal feelings of love towards art. Ogisho resides in Yokohama, Japan.
