Yolanda Shashaty Exhibition

Art 101

poster for Yolanda Shashaty Exhibition

This event has ended.

The new work is something of a departure for her, "I've let go of the landscape to concentrate on color, texture, and spatial relationship, which has been liberating."

Shashaty's use of color is always a pleasure to experience, and while the paintings are not based on landscape as we know it, the work is informed by her understanding of the colors and configurations in the natural world.

Yolanda Shashaty's work has been exhibited widely in New York, in both the city and a number of upstate venues. She has had one-woman shows in New York, Washington, D.C., Ohio and Connecticut and she has participated in shows at The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art and the Butler Institute.
