Tim Prentice "Drawing on the Air"
Maxwell Davidson Gallery/Davidson Contemporary
This event has ended.
Prentice’s ultralight, intricately linked kinetic sculptures are arranged in an orderly pattern of systems, allowing them to move fluidly.
In his 11th solo exhibition at the gallery, we draw attention to the artist’s intention-- and ability-- to physically illustrate the air moving around and through his work. Air currents push and activate his sculptures, and yet the work gives life to the air itself. Twisting and rippling, the sculpture and air exist in a symbiosis, relying on each other to reach their full potential.
