Rogue Space presents What was Left Behind, featuring works by painter Marie O'Hanlon. Marie, who lives and works in Dublin, Ireland, sent her paintings to New York for her solo exhibition, when the pieces were lost in the mail. Another mailing followed, a body of reselected works from the pieces left behind from the original mailing, and these pieces put in the spotlight. What was Left Behind speaks to this experience, and the absence of the original intended art.
This show investigates the hiccups in process between idea and outcome and suggested curiosity that accompanies absence.
