“Abstract Realism” Exhibition

LUMAS New York

This event has ended.

“Abstract Realism” is a consciously chosen oxymoron, which describes and unifies such irreconcilable opposites as Abstract Expressionism and Figurative Realism into a new form. As part of their Abstract Realism exhibition, LUMAS New York is showing five artists from our portfolio who, in their own ways, engage with this theme in their work. Impulsively chosen colours and forms, emotion and spontaneity projected onto the canvas, in juxtaposition with objective, figurative representations, sometimes as disruptive element, sometimes as imaginative complement, without which the work isn't complete.
