Ben McLaughlin "Recent Paintings"
Heskin Contemporary
This event has ended.
In his second exhibition with the gallery, British painter, Ben McLaughlin continues his exploration into the cinematic atmospheric settings he is known for.
In this current exhibition the artist created a series of small oil on panel diptychs and triptychs. McLaughlin continues his themes of human alienation, by presenting everyday subjects dislocated through cropping and unusual view points. Mysterious female figures lounge in the darkness alongside empty hotel rooms and twilight scenes of backyard gardens.
