Guy Aroch “ELSA”

Milk Gallery

This event has ended.

On view at the Milk Gallery in New York City from April 14th through April 24th, 2012 Elsa is a project that Guy Aroch has been working on with his most cherished collaborators and is now an exhibition of the same name at THE MILK GALLERY.

The show is about Elsa Hosk, who Guy wanted to show in a simple light and to photograph her beauty without any constraints. The project began as one series and it developed into a project that has spanned two years.

Elsa is spontaneous, playful and uninhibited. Guy wanted to capture her spirit and the show documents not only the evolution of Guy's photography but also of Elsa herself.

Guy Aroch moved to New York in 1993 to attend the famed School of Visual Arts. With his signature use of color and tones, his work has echoes of decades past, the images feel timeless while staying modern.

This guy seems to be a one trick pony. Who when given the opportunity to have an art show at Milk takes pictures that look exactly like his catalogue work. What a waste of art space.
