In her two new painting series, “Thicket” and “The Healing Garden,” Allison Green celebrates the overlooked and undervalued weed in all its verdant glory. She gives us masses of creeping honeysuckle, growing from twisted bramble, and large-scale portraits of single weed stalks– a shapely dandelion plant and a sultry echinacea – painted with vibrant hues and reaching to the tops of the their 5-foot canvases.
