This solo exhibition features more than two dozen large New York City images by photographer Ronald Gehrmann. Taken during the past five years, these vivid prints celebrate the mundane and easily overlooked: a rusting steel door, a deserted subway platform, a water tower in afternoon light. With a keen eye, Gehrmann’s painterly compositions invite the viewer to stop for a moment of quiet focus — to discover beauty in a scene that might otherwise be considered random or ugly, and to find links between disparate objects through pattern, color, scale.
