The exhibition Nature: Prints, Drawings, and Mixed Media by artist Julio Valdez includes twenty-one works on paper created over the past two decades. Utilizing nontraditional materials and printing processes, Valdez explores the inseparable spiritual relationship between man and his natural environment. Deeply influenced by his Dominican cultural heritage, the resulting works use a visual language that echoes traditional Latin American mythology with a profoundly sincere contemporary approach.
