The New York Academy of Art presents ALUMNI REUNION, a group exhibition featuring original works by the renowned artists from the classes of 1992, 2002, 2012.
This highly anticipated group show brings together a wide range of new work by more than 45 established and emerging talents, all of whom are impacting the contemporary art world. Comprised of paintings, drawings, sculpture and limited- edition prints, the chosen works were selected from over 300 submissions.
Spanning twenty years of creative engagement, ALUMNI REUNION charts the evolution of the Academy and encapsulates everything that makes its MFA program so unique. Founded in 1982 by artists and collectors, including early trustees Andy Warhol and Tom Wolfe, the Academy promotes the development of an artist’s personal vision by building on the enduring traditions of figurative painting, drawing and sculpture. It is the only program of its kind to offer intensive technical training and active critical discourse in a contemporary conceptual context.
