This event has ended.

The exhibition features new sculpture by the artist that combines and critique the effect of humans on the environment. Using a mix of steel piping, raw pine, wire mesh and rusted steel, Hodgson manipulates these materials until they become
displaced characters in a post-apocalyptic era.
Hodgson’s quirky sensibility asserts a justifiably cynical view of what may become of our natural resources given the path we are on. Frack Job features what appears to be an oil slick in the shape of a hurricane pattern floating amid twisted pipes and small pine boxes. In, Seeking the Higgs, a short length of tangled pipe connects two sections of oak, which seems to skitter across the floor towards a tiny pine box – commentary on the Hadron Collider. These biomorphic sculptures predict a ravaged environment and the futility of micromanagement.
