Clic is presents City Life Signs, the newest series of paintings from Maine-based artist Peter Dugovic. Drawing on his professional experience as a sign-painter, coppersmith, and construction worker, Dugovic’s close-up, mechanically-detailed studies of neon signage are paeans to retro urban Americana. By zooming in on small portions of signs from slanted perspectives, Dugovic creates vibrant and electrically-charged microcosms that course alive with the rhythms of the American city.
