Able Fine Art NY Gallery presents the meticulous works of Choi, Eun-Jung. This exhibition showcases a series of works that have been described as metaphors of both time and history. Eun-Jung engages in an allegorical dialogue with the invisible and subconscious through unique techniques of accumulation and layering. By layering pieces of newspaper, she produces natural forms with airy movements that represent the weight and natural process of the passage of time. She stains the paper through the process of iron oxidation to mimic the colors of the process of corrosion and geological sediment. Her work surpasses the redundancy of constructed time by highlighting its freedom and flexibility. The boundless movements, layers, and medium of her work parallel that of the cycle of time and life.
