Liao Shiou-Ping is widely considered Taiwan's "Father of Modern Printmaking." He is renowned for his ability to blend western printmaking techniques with Taiwanese folk art and temple motifs. Full of personal symbols and rich in the colors and sentiments of Eastern art, his works describe the longing for harmony, balance and beauty.
