This event has ended.

California based artist, Jason Hernandez brings a new body of work for his first ever, east coast solo exhibition.

"Beyond The Boundaries" is my most recent body of work that demonstrates my fascination with mankind and the world of theoretical physics. I believe man has always been a curious creature. That curiosity has lead man to the furthest & darkest corners of the earth. We've made Earth our home, and in it we've shared our philosophies and sciences.

We've become a race of dreamers, thinkers, and worshipers. In doing so, we've made our tiny mark in a vast Universe. Still, I can't help but wonder if Earth will forever remain the dwelling place for mankind.

In a world where Scientific breakthroughs have reached outcomes of possible transcendental levels, it's not absurd to assume that the future of mankind may in fact expand as far as the outer reaches of space. Whether or not man will be driven to outer space by mother nature's fury, our own faults, or simply to test our own potential, its clear to me that space will truly be man's last frontier.

From Pythagoras to wormholes, "Beyond The Boundaries" is an arrangement of drawings and paintings that narrate a whimsical story of what it might be like for the first pioneering astronauts who utilize the technologies behind modern physics to travel great distances throughout an
immeasurable universe.

Reflected in several of Hernandez’s pieces is the influence of Flemish art of the 14th and 15th centuries as well as current media. Hernandez attempts to capture humor in many of his works as one of his rules to live by is, ” life is too short to be serious all the time.”

Jason Hernandez was born on October 13, 1983 in the city of Lakewood CA. Jason attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Illustration. When Jason isn't drawing he puts in the man-hours formulating a concoction for the worlds first perfect cup of coffee.

Hernandez is currently a freelance artist and is also practicing Graphic Design with Wired Studios located in Cerritos, California
