PATRICK PIETROPOLI OPENS AXELLE FINE ARTS’ FALL RECEPTION WITH STATELY EDIFICES AND STRUCTURES OF NEW YORK TEMPERED WITH WARMLY WROUGHT FIGURATIVE WORKS.

A political science professor turned painter and sculptor, Patrick Pietropoli has exhibited his work across Europe and America for the past 30 years. Favoring muted tones and a simple palette allows him to present select linear details and compositional construction as the focus for his work. While the painterly modified finishes of his cityscapes embrace modernism, there is a strong classical base to Pietropoli’s figurative work. In his sienna and umber tinged bodies there are distinct influences and visual quotes of the great master painters of western art.

After nearly a decade long association with Axelle Fine Arts, Pietropoli relocated from Paris to Brooklyn. He resides in a penthouse with a view of the New York City skyline, one of his favorite subjects. Patrick Pietropoli will be at the opening reception to meet with his collectors and talk about his newest collection.
