For this exhibition Jordan Sullivan brings together a collection of photographs, sculptures, and collages that draw from personal history, looking closely at life on the road and its affects on his own perceptions of freedom and home. Sullivan's photographs explore places such as the American Southwest, Texas, and New York City. His images are marked by themes of love, death, family, and friendship. His collages and sculptural studies serve as a continuation of his photographic practice. Made from salvaged material, these objects function alternately as artifacts and memorials, recalling loved ones as well as the towns and cities he has passed through. Roadsongs is Sullivan's first solo exhibition in New York City.
