This event has ended.

Kim, Man-Hee is a prominent Korean abstract painter who has internationally exhibited his work and taught in Korea. With the influence of Abstract Expressionist pioneers such as William de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, and Clyfford Still, Kim’s painting combines heavy brushstrokes with rough textured pigments and movements of lines that create calligraphy like signs.

Mark Kurdziel is one of the most influential painters in New York City and has been teaching at The Fashion Institute of Technology for many years. Mark Kurdziel’s paintings investigate color and pattern through representation. His geometric still lifes and cubist portraits fragment and distill the domestic landscape. Kurdziel’s compositions express a perspective where the ordinary (a fish tank, a housecat) can be re-enchanted to the realms of the surreal and mystical.
