Friends for more than a decade, Michael Stickrod and Pat Palermo's multifarious working methods are steeped in autobiography, vernacular craft, and the tradition of art as a survival tactic.

For this show, Mr. Palermo will be premiering the first issue of his comic book project, LIVE/WORK. Copies will be available for sale at the gallery.

Michael Stickrod earned his BFA and MFA in Sculpture from Ohio State University and Yale University, respectively. He has exhibited his films and sculptures in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Marseilles, Oslo, Copenhagen, Zurich, and Berlin. In 2008 he was awarded the Altoids Award and Exhibition at the New Museum in New York. He currently lives and works between New Haven, New York, and Columbus.

Pat Palermo earned his BFA and MFA in Painting from Ohio State University and Bard College, respectively. He has exhibited his work in New York, Geneva, Paris, and the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada. In 2005 he was awarded the Xeric Grant for self-publishing artists. In 2010 he co-founded Soloway. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
