This event has ended.

School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents "SPACCCE," an exhibition by two SVA alumni exploring new methods of communicating in a technology dominated world. The exhibition is curated by Richard Brooks, assistant director of student galleries, and art directed by SVA portfolio instructor John Fulbrook.

Hollis Marie Maloney and Justina Zun-Zun Chang are 2011 graduates of the BFA Graphic Design Department. Created as their collaborative senior thesis, SPACCCE looks to reinforce communication and overcome feelings of alienation and separation in contemporary society, often resulting from our technology saturated culture. A prime example of this phenomenon is social media, which offers the ability to experience false sensations of connectedness through virtual worlds, and the possibility to sustain a lifestyle completely separate from everyone else.
