This event has ended.

This exhibition features works from the 2010 Freedom to Create Prize, an annual award that celebrates the courage and creativity of artists around the world. The exhibition opened at the Cairo Opera House in November 2010, and the Ana Tzarev Gallery in New York is the first stop in a worldwide tour. Previous Freedom to Create exhibitions have toured London, New York, Harare and Kabul.

The Freedom to Create exhibition is a physical manifestation of how creativity is being used to affect social change around the world. It addresses the importance of empowering dreams to transform lives and celebrates the power of the arts for confronting barriers to creativity and prosperity. The works bring messages of courage, unity, strength, reconciliation, healing, and hope from around the world to new audiences.
