Shinji Murakami exhibition "Hamburgers" includes new paintings and sculptures in the shape of the hamburger as well as a selection of past works. The new paintings include a map-like work which he produced under the influence of the logo of the famous hamburger shop Shake Shack, while the sculptures were inspired by the McDonald's happy meal.
Artist Shinji Murakami loves 8-bit video games and simple lines. He likes to create original characters as a springboard to his own exciting world of storytelling. In 2003 Shinji began creating 8-bit map works for the street and is now working on a "3D-8Bit" sculptures that give a physical form to a flat 8-bit images produced since 2009.
