0.00156 presents Light but not Light, a lighting window installation in collaboration with PEACE PLEASE™

PEACE PLEASE™ is a web-based company that delivers products and messages through its website, www.peaceplease.com, promoting peace and peaceful coexistence. Its goal is to render peace visible – literally and figuratively- and into public consciousnesses.

PEACE PLEASE™ was born on the streets in October 2002, when at a rally to stop the war in Iraq, Leigh Golterman, its founder, realized some positive messages were needed. For the first project she created three t-shirts promoting peace and took them to the streets. People responded. The original three t-shirts were included in "Times of War - Signs of Peace," an exhibition held in New York in 2003.

Since those original three shirts, PEACE PLEASE has expanded to include more than 100 items, including other clothing items, hats and accessories, stickers and buttons, jewelry, home items and more.

The lights in this exhibit, designed and produced by PEACE PLEASE, were created after years of requests by people. They were designed with LED lights to minimize electricity usage while getting the message of peace shining out there. They are shining in every state in the United States, throughout Canada, and in several countries around the world. They are for sale at 0.00156 acres and come in a tote also designed by PEACE PLEASE.

PEACE PLEASE has donated since its inception money as well as products to several organizations working for peace. These include Seeds of Peace, Veterans for Peace, Women in Black, United for Peace & Justice, Code Pink, CPT's, Gold Star Families and more. It also has a message board, Voices for Peace (www.voicesforpeace.com), where people share thoughts and ideas on peace, and how to bring it about.
