Jack Strange will exhibit new sculpture, drawing and installations as part of his second solo exhibition at the gallery, entitled "Deep Down." Strange takes everyday objects and re-imagines them in a manner that is humorous, clever, surprising, and at times, revelatory. By creating unexpected relationships between commonplace materials, the artist opens up a new world of meaning. Transforming the mundane into the marvelous while formally and thematically addressing issues of creative identity, repetition and perspective, the artist uses simplicity of means and materials to evocative ends.
