PEPPER'S PROJECT, a gallery and art project based in Tokyo, is pleased to present a group exhibition, j_ART -- the Fourth Annual Japanese Emerging Artists Exhibition in New York, at the Williamsburg Art & Historical, or WAH, Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The exhibition will showcase 22 emerging Japanese artists, six based in New York and 16 based in Tokyo, presenting paintings, drawings, print, installations, photography and more.

In 2008, the first exhibition, “Other Painting,” took place at four different locations in Williamsburg, N.Y., presenting 19 Japanese artists from Tokyo. In 2009, there was another exhibition program called “Tokyo Regionalism” at five different locations in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, N.Y. In 2010, the second edition of the exhibition “Other Painting” took place at the WAH Center in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Since 1998, PEPPER'S PROJECT has organized many exhibitions to present the works of young Japanese artists with pieces from a variety of genres and media. Since 2006, the PEPPER'S PROJECT has promoted overseas artists in key cities around the world. J_ART brings together the artists who participated in our past exhibits to display their latest work to the New York art scene.

PEPPER'S PROJECT proudly introduces our artists to New York every year with different themes and perspectives.
