The artists' search for inner quiet places finds form through traditional black ink,"MUK" on rice paper, acrylic on canvas, and video. Traditional mountain imagery, but also contemporary abstract concepts construct symbols of personal grieving, nothingness, and heroic life journeys. You can taste or find refuge and a breath of inner peace in a hot summer July month, art shaped through visual language quite different from that associated with the urban energy of the city and the Bronx, a surprising contradiction.
