This event has ended.

The second exhibition in the Raw/Cooked series presents Lan Tuazon, a Bushwick-based artist. For Raw/Cooked, Lan created a site-specific work composed of vacated Museum display cases. The exhibition also includes ink drawings that represent a reordering of objects from the Museum’s collection and a group of six miniature sculptures installed in one of the Museum’s Egyptian galleries. The sculptures are contemporary reinterpretations of ancient Egyptian artifacts and are placed in the same case as the source objects.

Tuazon received a B.F.A. from Cooper Union in 1999 and an M.F.A. from Yale University in 2002. She was recommended for Raw/Cooked by advisory board member Michael Joo.
