This event has ended.

Ushijima has been aggressively engaged in the world of wood carving for more than 40 years since he became a disciple of a wood carving master and a trustee of Nitten, Ichimu Yokoyama at the age of 17. In 1989, he won the highest prize, Taro Okamoto Prize in the wood carving contest. All works that Ushijima produces are filled with innocent and gentle "smile." In this exhibition, his latest 30 works in the form of child will be on display.
