The Gabarron Foundation in New York presents "Jóvenes Creadores Fundación Casa Pintada", a multimedia exhibition in which Nono García and Ramón González will combine their unique creative visions to transform our surrounding reality. “Jóvenes Creadores Fundación Casa Pintada” is curated by Julio César García Rodríguez, Coordinator of The Gabarron Collection, and has been organized as a traveling exhibition in participation with Fundación Casa Pintada (Murcia, Spain), the Carriage House Center for the Arts (New York City, U.S.A) and the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation Museum (Valladolid, Spain); the Carriage House Center for the Arts is the only location in the United States where this exhibition will be presented.

Ramón González and Nono García, two young artists from Murcia, Spain, are the 2010/2011 artist grant recipients of the Fundación Casa Pintada Creative Grants Program. The Gabarron Foundation presents the artists’ projects, which were developed during recent months as part of the grant program. “Jovenes Creadores Fundación Casa Pintada” will also include works created by the artists exclusively for this exhibition in New York.

Ramón González incorporates paintings, drawings, video installations and sound compositions in his multimedia project “Atmospherik: In search of the polar bear, principal author of my organic reflections”, with which he attempts to transform the viewer’s experience of his work into an all encompassing reality; he wishes to introduce the viewer to beautiful mystifying faces and to transport the gallery audience to distant places that reflect his own experiences while traveling during the past two years. Ramón studied at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts in Murcia from 1993 to 1998 before graduating from the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos de Valencia in 2003. He has also received multiple scholarships that have provided opportunities for him to study internationally at renowned institutions, including the Institute of Fine Arts “Armado Reveron” in Caracas, Venezuela, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany. Since 2003, the artist has exhibited regularly, both in Spain and abroad, and he has received awards and grants for his work. Most recently, his short film “Abwenenheit” as been selected by several international film festivals.

Nono García illustrates his travels and experiences through precise depictions of everyday objects in his
project “Transuentes”. Conceived as a semiotic examination of the relationship between Object and Symbol, Mr. García isolates each painted object with the intent that it will resonate uniquely within each viewer. This interactive process, between artist and viewer via the depicted object, depends upon individual response to the painted object. When considered against a shifting backdrop of subjective and social associations, objective reality gives way to a kaleidoscope of perceived realities, all of which are symbolized simultaneously by the object. Nono García trained at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts in Murcia and has taken part in various workshops with artists such as Pedro Cano (2004 and 2010), Antonio Lopez García (2005) and Cristóbal Gabarrón (2006). He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. His works have been displayed in several public and private collections and cultural institutions and he has participated in international art fairs in both Spain and the United States.
