The works are a continuation of the artist's exploration of the figure and cosmological abstraction. Composed utilizing ink and acrylic medium on paper, they effectively bring together disparate subjects ranging from Big Bang theory to comic book characters. These works create open-ended narratives through integrating chance and precision applications of ink and paint within the same field.

Cornelius Quabeck (b. 1974, Germany) lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany and has exhibited widely in Europe. Quabeck studied under Jörg Immendorff and Albert Oehlen at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf before moving to Chelsea College in London, where he graduated with an MA in Fine Art in 2009. Recently he co-curated a group exhibition at the KIT Kunst im Tunnel in Düsseldorf that, through his personal experience, generated a contextual dialogue between Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and British painters.
