Continuing AAI's collaboration with arts institutions through its Art(Inter)Action program, Cuchifritos is hosting artist Nida Abidi as part of Fragmentation, an exhibition organized by School of the Visual Arts featuring MFA Students and curated by Dan Cameron. Fragmentation is a group show in multiple galleries on the Lower East Side. The artists in the show vary greatly in demographic, worldview, and in the type of work they make. Yet each one matriculated in the same MFA program and graduated in Spring 2011. Now their work inhabits various fractions of galleries in the Lower East side to present a show that, while fragmented, achieves unity by allowing viewers to connect the dots.
