This event has ended.

The most enduring trees in nature can be found in some of the most extreme environments, quietly persevering in the unpredictable locations where a seed has fallen and grown. Gnarled trunks and twisted branches speak of years of hardship and adaptation.

The art of bonsai takes moments in time in nature and captures their essence, mood, and atmosphere. The bonsai in this exhibition are shaped to mirror the unexpected beauty of life in challenging environments. Although small in size, these trees show the astute viewer vast expanses of landscape and limitless moments of time—past, present, and future.

The moon and the stars reflected in dewdrops on the grass. Even in a single drop.
