Visceral Will is a virtual retrospective of work completed during Andrew’s years at Madarts Studios. What begins with manipulation of SX 70 film- a gateway into a world beyond the confines of his own understanding, develops into a series of messages, naive, raw and honest. We might have stumbled across these images in a cave at Lescaux. In the same way, these seemingly simple oilstick paintings evoke not childish ignorance but an endangered wisdom.
