This event has ended.

"As Things Appear to Be" is a two persons show by Andrea Wolf and Sebastian Vargas, a multidisciplinary site-specific exercise that combines methods of sculpture, painting and video mapping projections. The central element of this exercise consists on a geometrical construction made with residual wood and found wooden objects, which will serve as support and body to accommodate different digital video projections mapped to the volumetric shapes and dimensions of this construction.

The projections are super 8 and 8mm of home movies found footage, this material has been collected mostly from flea markets in Santiago, Chile and New York. By working with found footage and anonymous stories, we open a space of interpretation based on the meaning that each of us brings to the work, through our personal experience.

With this there are also paintings that function as a map and a schematic of both the building process and the different variants and elements that inform this installation.
