This event has ended.

Feiffer, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, author, and playwright, will exhibit many of his beloved drawings, including his famed Dancer cartoons, at a special exhibit at the World Financial Center Courtyard Gallery.

Feiffer’s Dancer cartoons were featured in The Village Voice for 40 years and as a monthly feature in the New York Times. This exhibition will also feature drawings and prints of male dancers many with an aura reminiscent of Fred Astaire, as well as watercolors and iris prints.

The exhibit, “A Dance to Spring: The Drawings of Jules Feiffer,” is part of the Extraordinary Moves dance series, which is part of the 10th annual River To River Festival. Extraordinary Moves will also feature The Dancer Films, a collection of six very short films by Judy and Ellen Dennis that bring Feiffer’s iconic modern Dancer cartoons to life that will have its premiere at the World Financial Center Winter Garden from July 9-17. Feiffer himself will create six new Dancer drawings in a live “dance-in” on July 10th at the World Financial Center Plaza.
