This event has ended.

Because our genetic structure seems to be under threat from both our collective imagination and our collective greed, I am enticed to see life as not being dependent on the kind of biological structures we are used to. I want to think of life itself being securely linked to matter, in fact the two being facets of the same thing. To explore this theme I have made a group of relief constructions using wood, led lights, glass, casein, paper and other materials featuring altered embryos and life forms in the process of excavation or in display cases.

This exhibition is installed in a dimly lit room with flashlights available at the door to help the viewer see the representations of life, some of which are embedded in holes several inches behind a surface which seems to represent the ground or a wall which has been penetrated. Others are displayed behind glass or in test tubes, which are illuminated.
