This event has ended.

Lets not fool ourselves, sometimes great art is acquired because the interior designer needs “something pink.”

Last year after the bookshelves in my house gave way, Rocio Fernandez – beloved fixer of our messes – restocked the new shelves according to size. It resulted in wavy patterns and some extraordinary juxtapositions and groupings: Stieg Larsson met Russian Costructivists, Witold Gombrowicz met Arthur Schopenhauer, and a sequence of La Peinture Française au Musée Pouchkine, French Bulldog Breed Manual, and Collected Writings of Marquis de Sade was formed.

“Colorific,” Postmasters’ summer group show, attempts to mimic this experience with the artworks of gallery artists and friendly guests installed salon-style according to color wheel (front gallery) and grayscale (second gallery).
In the age of indexing, databases, and randomizers as organizing principles (good) and shoe- and-handbag coordination (not so good) we make an art rainbow.
